Community Supported Agriculture
How we eat determines to a considerable extent how the world is used.
-Wendell Berry
After fifteen years participation in CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) crystal Spring is looking at a different for of membership in sustainable agriculture. From 1997 to 2001, 50 - 70 households shared in the garden here at Crystal Spring. From 2001 - 2011, our community participated in Heirloom Harest Farm in Westborough, MA. Shares were delivered and picked up here, and members fulfilled their work hours at the farm.
The CSA movement is flourishing. Now there are membership opportunities in many local communities. For that reason, we have made a decision to end Crystal Spring's membership in Heirloom Harvest CSA. We will no longer be a pick-up spot for Heirloom Harvest and we are directing folks to the local efforts in this area.

Our participation in the movement has been wonderful and enlightening. We are grateful to all our past farmers, and particularly to John Mitchell of Heirloom Harvest. We will continue to Support CSA efforts in the area and look forward to exploring new ways to be involved in local sustainable agriculture.
