A Day of Music and Reflection
with Carolyn McDade

We come with song and reflection. We sing to blow upon the embers of a vast and emerging creation within and around us, stirring the powers of imagination and courage essential to recreating ourselves as new and wiser humanity. Cost: $55 (Includes lunch)

Fall Evening Series

Nov. 3, 10, 17, Dec. 1

 

Using Pema Chodron's book, When things Fall Apart: heart Advice for Difficult Times, we will use discussion and silent meditation to explore ways to meet the present moment with "curiosity and friendliness." An opportunity to explore techniques and tools for cultivating compassionate, energetic social action. Cost: $35 (includes copy of Chodron's book)

Earth's Passion

5 pm, Thursday, April 1 11 am,
Sunday, April 4

 

As Earth moves from dormancy into awakening, seeds are planted, fields tilled, fertility celebrated. The traditional holy days preceding Easter give a time to reflect, ponder and participate in the exodus experience to bring us toward a healed human-earth relationship. Focus is on our transformative moment.

Cost: $200   (commuter rates available)

The Green Reel
Films for Sustainable Living

Sunday evenings, 7 pm

          Jan 10 - Food, Inc.

          Jan 24 - The Price of Sugar

          Feb 7 - Flow

          Feb 21 - Division Street

          Mar 7 - A sense of Wonder

 

This series of films depicts challenges to sustainable living, as well as some real-life examples of how regular folks are opting for real-life "green" solutions. After each film, local experts will be available to discuss the film and offer information on green initiatives individuals can connect with.

Cost: free and open to the public.
